"One of the most inspiring women in my life is my mom. It's because she sacrificed so much of herself in order to make sure that me and my sisters got a higher education and the resources to learn and understand things. The way she raised us had a great impact on my life. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her sacrificing all these things.

I think one important thing that we need to start telling young women is that they are important. That their opinions matter. We need to make them feel ultimately a part of the overall conversation on matters that involve them. The whole issue with sexual assault and harassment, before when people would come forward, they were put off as lying. I feel like it is important to teach at a young age that it is not okay to do that to people. Your opinions matter. You as a person matter."
